The First Blog Of The Season

Well hello all Port Vale Fanatics. This is to be a record of the 2007/08 season, however it may turn out. Over the coming weeks and months I will try to give an honest appraisal of the teams performance's, player's, management desisions (right or wrong) and all things general to do with the mighty Valiants.
This season should prove to be a good one, with Martyn Foyle bringing in several new faces to bolster the squad for a promotion push, even if that means via the play-offs. The season kicks off on 11th August, but pre-season has just about got under way, and culminates with a mouth watering home time against Premier League Champions, Manchester United, on 25th July. This seasons fixtures are printed below.
This is going to be a long, hard season if the team play as bad as they did at some of last seasons lowest points, but I'm sure that Martyn's team strengthening will prove to be the key this season, and that maybe, just maybe we could get Vale back into the Championship, after winning the Johnson Paint Trophy, and having a great run in the F.A. Cup. Well we can dream.
