Port Vale's only realistic chance of a shot at Wembley this year looked like getting a tough start as the draw for the Second Round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy was made this week. Vale received a bye in the first round, and would of hoped for a home tie in the tough Northern section, where they are in with the big boys such as Leeds United and Huddersfield, but they got a tough away tie at League Two Newcomers Morecambe, manager by former Man Utd favourite Sammy McIlroy.
