FA Cup First Round Draw

The moment you either love or dread is upon us again. In recent years we have had some awful results in the FA Cup, with Canvey Island knocking us out a few years ago, and Hereford thumping us 4-0 last season springing to mind. With how results have been just lately a good cup run to a Third Round tie away at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge would just set the season up nicely and give the players a confidence boost to help them in the fight to avoid the drop. So who will we get in the First Round of the oldest and best cup competition in the world? Here is the draw in full to see for yourself.

So Port Vale were handed the perfect way to shake the cobwebs away from the Johnson's Paint defeat at Morecambe and show the league new boys that they will not give up so easily this time. The players will not want to lose this game and they will be itching for the game now to wipe away the cup exit to the team on penalties a couple of weeks ago, especially after caretaker manager called them nothing more than a pub team after the defeat. The ties will take place on November 9th/10th/11th and Vale will be hoping the draw will enable them to progress in the competition and maybe get them a lucrative Third Round tie at a Premiership club.
